Hello lovelies! I'm going to break down the beauty behind Lip Blush! It is an incredible alternative to fillers, if fuller natural lips were the look you were hoping to achieve.
What is Lip Blush?
Lip Blush is the hottest trend in the permanent makeup world. Essentially, it is a cosmetic tattoo of the lips to emphasize the natural lip colour and shape, and to give definition and the illusion of fullness, without the use of lip fillers.
How Permanent Is It?
Lip blush is a form of permanent makeup generally lasting between 1-3 years. Today, the permanent makeup industry has adopted new techniques, to ensure a softer more gentle healed look. I use high quality pigments, specifically Perma Blend, because I absolutely love the outcome their product delivers!
How Shades Work
I have clients come in all the time and request specific colours or shades they would like to achieve, but it doesn't necessarily work that way. Skin tones have unique hues specific to each individual person. For example, someone with a really cool lip tone may not want to use a cooler toned colour like Mauve, as their end result would have a more purple hue when maybe they are after a pink. I take skin tone, colour preference and desired outcome into consideration to ensure the prefect colour choice is made. Some shades just don't look natural with certain skin tones. I have extensive knowledge and experience behind colour theory, so we can find the perfect shade for you!
What to Expect From Your Lips
Lip blush can last several years, however your lifestyle habits determine how well your lips heal and maintain. So, smoking and sun exposure can speed up the fading process. If you’re skin is oil-prone, or you have an iron deficiency, your body metabolizes the pigments faster. If you use a lot of exfoliating products in your skin care routine, the pigments can fade more quickly.
What to Expect From Your Appointment
Lip Blush appointments with me, are 2 hour appointments. In the week following your appointment, your lips will start to heal, which often presents as scabs, peeling or the feeling of a very chapped lip. Please ensure to follow the provided after care to achieve optimal results.
